HISTORY

In 1885, Joseph Turk founded Turk Furniture believing that people deserved well-made furniture at affordable prices. He opened the first store in Downtown Joliet.

In 1900, the retail store was moved across the street and was our retail location until 2002 when we opened our flagship store located off of I-55 & Rt. 30 behind the Louis Joliet Mall.

In the early years, we sold both furniture and men's clothing. During the "Depression", we cared for our loyal customers, allowing them lenient payment plans. We even delivered furniture way back then by horse drawn wagon!

And five generations later, although the merchandise we carry has changed in terms of its fashion and materials, our service hasn't.

Today many customers tell us how happy they are with our service. Our delivery people do a wonderful job in setting up your new furniture and taking pride in their work.
